Terms of Service

Last updated: July 26, 2026

1. Service

TCVoiceAI is an independent desktop voice translation product operated by its creator.

TCVoiceAI provides Translated voice and Original audio modes for online calls on macOS. Translated voice replaces routed speech with spoken translations. Original audio keeps both callers’ real voices live while the active app can create bilingual History or transcribe a same-language conversation. Same-language transcripts may remain untranslated or be translated into another selected language.

Conversation Profiles can save languages, conversation mode, context, translation and transcript preferences, and custom vocabulary on your Mac. Each profile can keep separate local History. Vocabulary may be used as contextual listening hints and matching term pairs may be processed with translation requests as described in the Privacy Policy.

In Settings > Data transfer, export one portable JSON file containing your Conversation Profiles and compatible app preferences. Import the same file on another Mac or Windows PC. Import validates the file and asks for confirmation before replacing the current portable settings and profiles. Importing settings and profiles does not import, delete, or merge local conversation History. Keep exported settings files private because profile names, context notes, and custom vocabulary may contain personal or confidential information.

The app uses Apple Speech Recognition and macOS text-to-speech voices. Recognized text is sent to our server when translation is requested, when a suggested reply is routed or generated, and when you explicitly request AI conversation output from local History. Transcription-only same-language sessions do not send translation requests, although optional reply suggestions use a separate request. Spoken translations use Mac voice options rather than a copy of either caller’s personal voice. The app does not provide voice cloning and does not require third-party virtual audio cable software.

During bilingual or same-language sessions, you may optionally use Automatic or On request Suggested replies. The service evaluates only completed partner turns that are substantial enough to benefit from a response suggestion; simple small talk may produce no suggestion. You remain responsible for reviewing a suggestion before speaking or relying on it.

When installed, approved, and available, a background helper can relay original audio through TCVoiceAI virtual microphone and speaker devices while the main app is idle or closed. The helper exists only to improve routing convenience. It does not perform speech recognition, create transcripts, translate, record, store, inspect, analyze, or upload conversation content, and it makes no server requests.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity under your account. You may use the service worldwide where it is lawful and where our payment and platform providers can support access.

You are responsible for complying with laws, call-recording or consent rules, workplace policies, and the terms of any calling app or service you use with TCVoiceAI.

3. Subscriptions, trials, and billing

Accounts without an active paid subscription may receive free plan access with monthly limits. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Paddle. Paid and trial plan limits are measured by translated words and AI summary units. Generated suggested reply words share the translated-word allowance; only the user's primary-language reply is counted when a bilingual reply is returned. Same-language transcription itself uses no translated words while transcript translation is off, but generated suggestions still use the shared allowance. Free plan limits reset monthly when available, and may also include a daily cap. Daily limits reset at 00:00 UTC. Unused plan limits do not roll over.

Taxes, currency conversion, invoices, and payment compliance may be handled by Paddle during checkout. If a payment fails, a subscription becomes inactive, or a plan limit is reached, access to paid features may be limited until billing or allowance resets are resolved.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use the service to harass, defraud, abuse, compromise security, violate privacy, or process content you do not have the right to process. Do not attempt to reverse engineer, overload, bypass limits, or interfere with the service.

We use automated safeguards to detect unusual, repeated, or abusive request patterns. We may temporarily restrict access to AI features when reasonably necessary to protect the service, enforce plan limits, or investigate suspected misuse. Repeated violations may result in AI access suspension pending manual review. The app will show when a temporary restriction ends or how to contact Support to request a review.

5. Translation and AI output limitations

Machine translation, speech recognition, text-to-speech, suggested replies, AI summaries or focused output, virtual audio routing, and third-party calling apps can make mistakes or be unavailable. Do not rely on TCVoiceAI as the sole source for legal, medical, financial, emergency, safety-critical, or other high-stakes communications. You are responsible for reviewing important translations and generated output before acting on them.

6. Privacy

Our privacy practices are described in the Privacy Policy, and EU/EEA and UK privacy rights are summarized on the GDPR rights page. By using the service, you agree that we may process account, billing, translation, suggested reply, AI conversation output, diagnostic, support, and service usage data as needed to provide, secure, bill, and improve the service.

You are responsible for telling call participants when law, platform rules, workplace policy, or courtesy requires notice or consent for speech recognition, translation, transcripts, summaries, or local conversation history.

7. Third-party services

The service depends on third-party platforms and providers, including macOS, Apple Speech Recognition, macOS text-to-speech voices, Google sign-in, Paddle billing, OpenAI translation, suggested reply, and AI conversation output processing, email delivery, hosting, and the calling apps you choose to use. Their availability, rules, supported regions, languages, and technical behavior may affect the service.

8. Cancellations and refunds

You may cancel a paid subscription from your account billing page. Refund handling is described in the Refund Policy. Nothing in these terms limits non-waivable consumer rights that apply in your country or region.

9. Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the product evolves. If changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users. Questions about these terms can be sent to support@tcvoiceai.com.
