Reusable call setup

Start recurring translated or transcribed calls faster

TCVoiceAI Conversation Profiles keep the setup for a contact, team, or recurring scenario ready for the next call, including bilingual translation or same-language transcription. Profiles are stored locally by the app on your device.

A profile keeps the recurring language, mode, context, vocabulary, and local History together.

Recurring conversations

Prepare once, then return to the right call setup.

  1. 01

    Create a useful profile

Name a profile for a contact, team, customer, project, or conversation scenario you expect to use again.

  2. 02

    Save conversation choices

Keep languages, Translated voice or Original audio, context, response timing, correction, and optional transcript translation together.

  3. 03

    Add relevant vocabulary

Pair names, company terms, product names, and industry language with the translation you prefer. Relevant terms can help listening and translation without guaranteeing a correction.

  4. 04

    Switch and start

Choose a profile from the compact sidebar, confirm your physical audio devices, and start with that profile's settings and local History.

  5. 05

    Portable settings and profile transfer

In Settings > Data transfer, export one portable JSON file containing your Conversation Profiles and compatible app preferences. Import the same file on another Mac or Windows PC.

What each profile keeps

A repeatable setup without mixing unrelated conversations.

Languages and conversation mode

Save a bilingual pair for voice translation or a Same language setup with one Conversation language. Same-language profiles use Original audio.

Context and translation preferences

Keep the scenario description, response and correction choices, plus optional translation of both speakers' same-language transcripts.

Custom vocabulary pairs

Store a term in each selected language so names and specialist phrases have a relevant listening hint and preferred translation when they appear.

Separate local History

Each profile has its own bilingual or same-language History on your Mac, keeping different contacts, teams, and projects separate.

Quick sidebar switching

Move between profiles from the sidebar, search a larger profile library, and update the active profile after changing its quick settings.

Full profile manager

Create, duplicate, rename, edit, and delete profiles from one manager when you need more control over your saved setups.

Portable settings and profile transfer

Import validates the file and asks for confirmation before replacing the current portable settings and profiles.

From the macOS app

What Conversation Profiles do and do not store.

  • Conversation Profiles and their per-profile History are stored locally on your Mac rather than in the TCVoiceAI server database.
  • Profile names, contact labels, and the complete profile library are not sent to TCVoiceAI servers.
  • While a session is active, vocabulary for the language being recognized may be supplied to Apple Speech Recognition as contextual hints under your macOS settings and Apple's privacy terms.
  • Only matching vocabulary needed for a translation request is sent with that request, and the server is designed not to store it after the request completes.
  • Custom vocabulary can improve the chance of recognizing and translating relevant names or specialist terms, but it cannot recover omitted speech or guarantee a correction.
  • Existing language choices, conversation settings, and local History migrate automatically to the General profile when upgrading from an earlier app version.
  • Profiles remember whether same-language transcripts should remain transcription only or be translated into another language.
  • Transcription-only same-language sessions send no translation requests and use no translated-word allowance.
  • Automatic or On request reply suggestion mode is configured separately and is not currently stored as part of a Conversation Profile.
  • Physical microphone and speaker choices remain device-level settings, so confirm them after switching Macs or changing audio hardware.
  • The export includes profile languages, modes, context notes, vocabulary, the active profile, interface language, and compatible History, Floating captions, and suggested-reply preferences.
  • It does not include sign-in tokens, passwords, audio-device choices, diagnostics consent, conversation History, summaries, or other sensitive or device-specific data.
  • Importing settings and profiles does not import, delete, or merge local conversation History.
  • Keep exported settings files private because profile names, context notes, and custom vocabulary may contain personal or confidential information.
  • The versioned settings and profile format is designed for both macOS and Windows, so one export can move compatible setup between platforms.
  • Conversation Profiles do not replace call routing. Compatible calling apps still use TCVoiceAI Mic and TCVoiceAI Speaker for the translated or original-audio route.
  • Deleting a profile also deletes that profile's saved local conversation History after confirmation in the app.
