The calling app must let you choose TranslateChatVoice Speaker as the speaker, output, or playback device.

Keep the macOS app open so the virtual microphone and speaker devices stay available to the calling app.

From the macOS app
The same routing flow works across compatible apps.
- Select TranslateChatVoice Mic in the calling app when translated local speech should enter the call.
- Select TranslateChatVoice Speaker in the calling app when partner audio should be sent back to Translate Chat Voice for translation.
- Do not select TranslateChatVoice Mic Feed or TranslateChatVoice Speaker Tap in calling apps, because those are internal endpoints.
- If a calling app does not let you choose microphone and speaker or output devices, Translate Chat Voice may not be able to route both directions through that app.
